Broadway Academy was buzzing with excitement during our Career & College Day! More than 500 students in grades 4-9 had the opportunity to explore future possibilities as they interacted with 53 career, college, and community partners from across the region. Students asked questions, discovered new career pathways, and learned firsthand about the skills and education needed for a variety of professions. Events like Career & College Day help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities and encourage them to start thinking about their future goals. A proposed 0% tax levy increase is included in this year's budget due to the diligence of the Elmira City School District. Three candidates are running for four seats to occupy 3-year terms.

Broadway Academy and Broadway Intermediate are participating in a cereal box collection for the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Many of the students at Broadway Academy have volunteered for the foodbank this year and helped sort the various food items for the foodbank. We collected 55 boxes so far and would like to make our goal of 400 boxes by June 12th!

On June 12th we will celebrate with making a chain of all the boxes and knocking them down like dominoes before we donate the cereal.

Phone System Maintenance Notice

The Elmira City School District would like to inform our community of a brief, scheduled maintenance to our regional phone system.

Date: Monday, April 20
Time: Beginning at 4:00 PM
Duration: Approximately 10 minutes

During this time, phone services across the district will be temporarily unavailable.

This maintenance is being completed outside of school hours to minimize any disruption to students, staff, and families. Because this work is coordinated with an external vendor, it must take place during this scheduled time.
